Are you tired of the super chaotic, overly commercialised Christmas period? We are too. Here is a little throwback to the ghost of Christmas past to revisit some much-loved Christmas traditions that few families still take part in today. Why not try some of these yuletide traditions this Christmas to bring back the magic of the holidays of the past.
Some of you will remember posing for the family photograph in your Sunday best with the biggest smile on your face, ready for the perfect picture to be taken for the annual family newsletter. This tradition seems to be less popular but we think it should be brought back thisChristmas to reach out to thoseyou may have lost touch with over the years.
Why not write to those you love and share with them all the things that you and your family are proud of this year? It’s a lovely tradition for sharing some good news and spreading Christmas cheer this festive season.
Going to look at the Christmas lights
One thing that’s been lacking in the past few years is the Christmas lights in the village. We all remember the house opposite The Swan that used
to do their annual event and mince pies in the pub! Let’s bring back the Christmas cheer this year and decorate our houses to light up the Village to make it special for the little ones.
Why not take part in the classic tradition of getting in the car with
all the family and driving around at night to look at the best houses this December. Why not all wear those beautiful Christmas jumpers that we mentioned earlier to make it more fun!
